EC2005: Germany wins first semi-final 34:0

In the first semi-final of the European Championship 2005 at Malmö/Sweden Germany beats Great Britain 34:0 (7:0/7:0/7:0/13:0).

Germany takes control of the game just from the beginning. The first drive was finished by a 12 yard pass from Joachim Ullrich to Markus Schöpf for the first points. Both player are also responsible for the second Touchdown. Joachim Ullrich was 18 of 21 passes leaving the field at halftime. In the second quarter the Offense of the Great Britain Lions found their way back into the game. Quarterback David Drane and Wide Receiver Marc Cohen leads their team forwards. But against the defense of the reining European Champion Germany the Lions only can move the ball but not score.

After Halftime Mike Friese (7 of 10) comes in and leads the german offense. He was supported by Running Back Christian Poschmann who takes care of scoring. Poschmann rushes for 127 yards and three Touchdowns earning the MVP Honour of the German Team.
