Very good game the one played this evening. Spain played at a very high level in the first half againts 2008 title contender Sweden and leaded 6-10 at halftime. After that, Aitor Trabado´s players were unable to stop Sweden power and the Swedish won 28 – 10.
RB Carl Nielsen #22, who scored three times and ran for 141 yds was designated MVP, was a total nightmare for the Spanish defense all day long. Ian Escoda #34 (WR), after a pass from Rubén Beltrán and Álvaro Guitián (K), with a 21 FG and an XP, were the ones in charge of adding points to Spanish board. Altough the loss, Spain was impressive at times and now waits for their second game against France on day 30th, 18 pm (La Cartuja).
